Here's where you can donate household items to charity in Johnson City


Whether you're doing a little spring cleaning or going full Marie Kondo on your living space, a handful of organizations around Johnson City would be more than happy to take the stuff you're ready to part with.

Here's a quick roundup of places you can take clothing, toys, small appliances, and other home furnishings to donate:

God's Corner

Located at the intersection of E. Lakeview Avenue and Unaka Avenue near the Johnson City Country Club, God's Corner is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Donations are accepted in the rear of the building. For info, call (423) 929-1915.

Good Sam Thrift Store

This downtown thrift store is open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Good Sam also has large white donation bins outside to accept after-hours donations, as well as home pick-up. For info, call (423) 928-1116.

Family Promise Thrift Store

The Family Promise Thrift Store is located at 215 W. Watauga Avenue, just a few blocks from downtown Johnson City. The Family Promise Thrift Store accepts adult/kids clothing, housewares, linens, purses, shoes, toys, bedding, and small appliances in gently used, good condition. Benefitting the Human Society of Washington County, the Wags to Riches Thrift Store is located at 2450 West Walnut Street.
